Weekly Bible Study – Les Misérables: Lessons on Grace, part 1

We’ve started a new Bible study series using the characters from the story Les Misérables as example illustrations for how to live by grace or live by “the Law.” This week was an overview of the story and main characters. We thought about what it’s like to live a life defined by judgment, motivated by shame, and expressed through punishment. The character Javert from Les Mis is a lot like the Pharisees of the New Testament.
