Silent Meditation: When someone wrongs you, hurts you, or just does something dumb and harmful in the world, what do you want to happen to them? Maybe suffer a little bit, because of the damage they’ve done? That’s the natural, human response. But Jesus calls us to a higher standard—a response intended to lift both sides and restore what was damaged. It is a very hard approach to take, but it is the Way of Jesus.
