Silent Meditation: It’s tempting to cheer for Jesus if you think there’s something in it for you. If Jesus can get us what we want the way we like it, then we’ll definitely follow him! But following Jesus is more about getting his way than our way. The way of Jesus is good for us, not because it’ll get us what we like and want, but because it is the way of righteousness, humility, and the building of God’s kingdom.
