Silent Meditation: We usually want the blessings that come from following God, but not the sacrifices. We welcome the new life Jesus offers, but we conveniently forget that it only comes when we give up our old life. Jesus definitely calls us to a life that is richer and deeper than we’ve ever lived, but it does require great sacrifice. Fortunately, once we let go of everything, we will realize that it was completely and totally worth it.
