Silent Meditation: In our day and age, it’s easy to go to church and be known as a Christian. We don’t face the persecution that Christians in the past did or those in some countries do today. We start to assume that being a follower of Jesus isn’t so hard after all. And yet it is. It asks us to be so loving, welcoming, and generous, that other people might think us misguided or irresponsible. But following Jesus requires a lot; it requires our whole lives.
