Worship

Worship Service - September 24

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: It’s never easy to forgive someone who’s wronged us. We naturally hold grudges and hold on to resentment. But that’s not the Jesus way. The Jesus way is to forgive repeatedly. And as usual, the Jesus way is hard. But as always, it’s the best way to live. Free from the burden of resentment. Set free by the grace we receive and the grace we show.

Worship Service - September 17

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: It’s quick and easy to let someone else tell us what to think or give us the words to say. It’s a lot harder to spend time listening, reading, and thinking for ourselves. But the New Testament encourages us to spend time listening to God, testing the messages we hear, and speaking with our own voice. That’s what will help us grow and be blessed.

Worship Service - September 10

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: What do we do when someone says something we don’t like? Maybe we get mad and storm off in a huff, instead of acting in a way that could help the situation. And what do we do when God’s Holy Spirit doesn’t act the way we want or assume it should? Maybe we get mad at God or give up on religion all together, instead of figuring out what we could do differently. It’s always easier to just give up and walk away, but true blessings happen when we are persistent.

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: Jesus always surprised people with his words. People both then and now think that the kingdom of heaven should be powerfully intimidating and arrogantly impressive, because we want to feel powerful and impressive too. We want to win, dominate, and be in charge. But Jesus said that actually, the kingdom of heaven is really hard to see at first glance, but its value is greater than everything else.

Worship Service - August 27

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: We try to structure our life so that everything is perfect, like a well-tended garden. But just like in gardens, weeds can spring up in our lives. Maybe it was because of something we did or someone else, or maybe some bad thing just happened. Either way, God gives grace to us, our enemies, and even the weeds. At the end of the day, God will sort it all out, so we don’t have to worry about it.

Worship Service - August 20

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: God is always sowing seeds of love. Sometimes they fall on hardened hearts, or distracted minds, or shallow souls. But God the Sower is always at work. Let us have hearts, minds, and souls that are ready to let God’s seeds plant deep within us. Let us grow both up and down, with outside actions and inside roots. And as we grow, let us take part in sharing more of God’s seeds of love in the world.

Worship Service - August 13

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: Since we are finite creatures with finite vision, we get too focused on what’s happening right now. When something we don’t like happens, it looms so large in our minds that we get all riled up, because that’s how important it is!!1! Or so it feels to us in the moment. But Jesus wants to lift our vision higher, above what we’re feeling now, and see life with a broader perspective that will give us peace.

Worship Service - August 6

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: Whenever a problem arises, we do whatever we can to get rid of it. We often pray that God would take away any pain or discomfort we feel. But instead of only seeing the surface of what bothers us, we need to explore deeper, get to the cause of our problem, and understand what’s really going on. That is the only way to grow in wellness, and not just get rid of problems. One way to grow in wellness is pretty simple: show more gratitude in life.

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: Since our human understanding is limited, we tend to limit ourselves about what is possible. We even put limits on God about what is possible or what can happen. But Jesus wants to free us from the burden of a life that is bent in on itself. To break the small-mindedness that holds us back, to loosen restrictions that keep us from flourishing, and to set us free.

Worship Service - July 23

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: When we go to God in prayer or worship, are we going to listen and grow, or are we going to try and get what we want? Often what we want is based on worldly priorities, and things that won’t satisfy us. Jesus wants to help us shift our priorities heavenward, so that we make decisions with forever in mind. That will help us build real treasures that are truly fulfilling.

The livestream worship broadcast begins Sunday mornings a little before 11:00 am and is saved online afterward. (If there is ever a livestreaming problem, check our YouTube page HERE and our Facebook page HERE.)

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: Carrying and sharing the grand message of Jesus sometimes results in people being upset at you, even other Christians. But we shouldn’t let criticism or rejection slow us down. Jesus wants us to keep moving and living. We definitely shouldn’t get pulled down to an immature level that reacts by being petty, argumentative, or spiteful. Instead, we always choose to show love, and we keep walking.

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: We want life to be just the way we like it, and then for it to never change. Certainly not have any unexpected surprises. But Jesus calls us to have mountaintop experiences where we feel real transformation that we can take back to normal life. We don’t like fast changes, so we resist transformation, even though God is working to transform us at all times. If only we’ll have the courage to follow Jesus up the mountain.

WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship: When it comes to following God—as individuals and as a church—we prefer to ease into it. To just give little bits of our lives to God and the gospel, but still keep enough for ourselves that we can control. The idea of giving over everything to God makes us nervous. But the more of our lives that we give, the more blessings we will get in return.

But actually, when it comes to things that will truly sustain us in life, it is God who provides all of the peace, hope, and love that we need to keep going. WELCOME TO WORSHIP!

Meditation Thought for Worship  Waiting is hard. We want the things we want at the time we want them. And we’d prefer not to work too hard for them to happen.
