Church accompanist job opening

First Baptist Church Weaverville is seeking a part-time accompanist (piano and/or organ). Someone who feels called by God and has a great love for church music.

Qualifications

• Education: 4 year college music degree preferred. ( 2-4 year college degree acceptable)

• Experienced on the piano and/or organ, to help guide the church in worship.

• Comfortable with a wide variety of musical styles.

• Possess good interpersonal skills and relates well to all age groups.

Duties

• In cooperation with the Minister of Music and Pastor, provide music for regular worship services on Sunday morning and also special services as schedule allows.

• Accompany the Choir during rehearsals (currently Wednesday evenings) and in worship.

• Provide input to the Minister of Music on instrument usage and maintenance.

Benefits

• Current pay - $250 a week, reviewed annually.

• Receive 2 Wednesdays and 2 Sundays paid vacation after the first six months of employment.

• Be allowed to attend conventions, conferences, and music meetings as the budget and schedules allow.

• Be treated with love and respect in keeping with the high calling as a minister of God in this chosen field.
