Senior Meal Site Reopening

Our Senior Meal Site will re-open and begin serving meals on Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 7.  They will do only 2 days a week until further notice.

Technically, all four of Buncombe County's Senior Dining Sites in are still closed. The site in Black Mountain had 5 feet of water, so it is being gutted and repaired. The two sites in Asheville still do not have clean water and cannot open. The food source for the meal sites, the Moose Cafe, needs a minimum of 75 meals to restart the program.

Our meal site's director Jennifer Hilliard will do two meals a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) until the other sites allow the program to officially restart.
