Lives Lost from Hurricane Helene

The physical recovery from the hurricane will take years of work. Buildings can be rebuilt, but the emotional damage, especially for families who lost loved ones, will remain. This week, the NC Department of Health & Human Services released a list of 104 people who died in and from the hurricane. There are likely others who were not included, since a few people are still missing, and the list does not include people whose body was recovered in another state. But each of these 104 people were loved by God, friends, and family, so we pray over that loss. To read names of lives lost, click here.
